Beachwood Place bypassed construction traffic with an aggressive awareness campaign that was designed to provide shoppers with alternate access routes. Although 86 percent of shoppers used to come via the under-construction road, sales actually increased seven percent during construction.

For Valentine’s Day at North Park Mall, an empty space instead showcased an eight-foot heart with Cupid, where shoppers could write a message to their sweetheart. The messages were read aloud on air by a live remote radio station.

Cambridgeside Galleria’s Annual Taxi Event is held to thank taxi drivers for bringing tourists to the center.
