Mission Valley Center’s “More Merry, Less Moolah” campaign gave shoppers a reason to visit—and come back another time.  Overall, 33,200 more people visited the center during the event period.

Montebello Town Center, which focuses on the family market, tried targeting a niche market—expecting parents—by hosting a baby shower. The event was successful: sales increased 16 to 103%, monthly visits increased 79%, and more than $45,000 in national publicity was received.

Westmount Shopping Centre’s childcare facility, Let’s Play, gives mothers a chance to enjoy some easy shopping. The return has been outstanding: sales were up $5 million from last year, and mall visits increased by 700,000.

Beachwood Place bypassed construction traffic with an aggressive awareness campaign that was designed to provide shoppers with alternate access routes. Although 86 percent of shoppers used to come via the under-construction road, sales actually increased seven percent during construction.
