BCSC Reveals Its New Brand: Revo
Property council sharpens its focus to face the new realities of the retail marketplace.
It’s not easy to re-brand a high-profile organization that has been around for decades. Today, BCSC is making that leap and reintroducing itself as Revo at its national conference in Manchester. The British retail property council says the move reflects changes in its sector, which has grown and diversified significantly over the past 30-plus years.
With “If you don’t move forward, you’ll get left behind” as its mantra, Revo sees itself as a vital resource, advocate and member-based community builder for the people and businesses involved in retail property and placemaking, as well as environmental and social sustainability. Under the direction of chief executive Edward Cooke and his team, Revo is both a collective of industry observers and a hub for existing and aspiring retail trendsetters. It operates in the physical world through national conferences and exhibitions, local meetings, continuing education opportunities, an expanding award program, marketing research and benchmarking, and media and government relations. And, like its industry, it has an active presence online through its new website and social pages on Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Given the complexity of its mandate, Revo won’t move forward alone. Instead, it vows to strengthen its links to the BRC, PIA, and other organizations. Its next major event will be the Annual Dinner and Gold Awards, to be held on December 7 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
